Breast Cancer Screening
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers and a leading cause of death among women. Although rare, men can also develop breast cancer. Approximately 90% of breast cancers originate from abnormal cell division within the milk ducts or glands. The cancer may spread through the lymphatic system to nearby organs, such as the lymph nodes in the armpits, and further to other parts of the body like the bones, lungs, liver, and brain. It is possible to find cancer in both breasts, either initially or after diagnosis. However, early detection significantly increases the chances of successful treatment.
